On June 3, 2009, The National Health System Interterritorial Council, the public health system’s top coordinating body, approved two strategies on Rare Diseases and la Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) for the National Health System, these strategies being aimed at correcting the main deficiencies in the treatment of these diseases. The National Health System Interterritorial Council, the public health system's top coordinating body, has given the green light for the Royal Decree governing the Minimum Data Sett for the Clinical Reports which must be collected in the clinical documents necessary for developing the Spanish National Health System Digital Clinical Record.
On June 22, 2009, the National Palliative Care Strategy Monitoring and Evaluation Committee Meeting was held at the Ministry of Health and Social Policy for the purpose of presenting the first draft of the Evaluation of this Strategy, prepared with the data from the Ministry proper and from the Autonomous Communities
On June 22, 2009, the meeting of the Autonomous Community patient safety reference group and the Zero Bacteremia project monitoring meeting were held. The patient safety reference participants attended in conjunction with the coordinators of the coordinators of the project for the Prevention of Bacteremias due to central catheters in ICU from the different Autonomous Communities
On June 24, 2009 The Kick-Off Meeting for Phase II of the SENECA Project on Care Quality Standards for Patient Safety at the Spanish National Health System Hospitals was held at the Ministry of Health and Social Policy
On Saturday, June 20, 2009, the second session of the training workshop of the Citizen Network of Patient Safety Trainers was held on the Safe Use of Medications. This project is being funded by the Ministry of Health and Social Policy through the National Health System's Quality Plan
On Monday, June 29, 2009 the Balearic Island SCACEST Community Registry was presented, with the attendance of the National Ischemic Cardiopathy Strategy Coordinator and Dr. Pablo Rivero Corte, the General Director of the Spanish National Health System's Quality Agency
