November 25th is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. Within the Spanish National Health System (SNS), all steps taken in this connection are coordinated through the Commission Against Gender Violence of the SNS Interterritorial Board (CISNS), made up of representatives of all the Spanish regions. The Ministry of Health website contains a list of connected products: the Common Protocol, the Common Indicators on a healthcare response to gender violence and the Quality Criteria for basic training of health professionals in this field, as well as the 2005 and 2006 annual reports.
The 4th International Conference on Patient Safety: In search of the best clinical practice for safer healthcare will be held on 25-26 November, with 1,200 participants.
Publication of the 2008 Audit Programme, designed by the Ministry of Health & Consumer Affairs, supporting the process of accreditation of teaching units and centres for postgraduate training.
